What does the hold function do?
The "hold" function on a digital caliper freezes the current measurement reading on the display, allowing you to read and record the value even when the caliper is moved or the jaws are no longer touching the object.
Purpose:
The hold function is useful when it's difficult to read the measurement directly from the caliper display because it's in a cramped or awkward position, or when you need to move the caliper to a more convenient location to record the reading.
How it works:
When the hold function is activated, the display will show the current measurement value, even if the jaws are moved or the caliper is turned off and on.
